Author Chris Collins will visit Hillsboro Public Library to present her novel 'Jack of Hearts' on Oct. 8

Local author Chris Collins will visit the Hillsboro Public Library to present her novel "Jack of Hearts" on Oct. 8.

Join character Elizabeth Walden as she ventures through a new life in a new country.

On her journey Elizabeth learns of hardships, joy and endurance, all the while relying on her Heavenly Father, the continuity of family, and giving her heart completely.

Chris lives in rural Highland County, Ohio with her husband and three dogs. She has two grown children who live in Ohio. Her faith in God and Jesus Christ is most important in her life, and her family comes in a close second.

Her family history originates from Ireland, and then from the hills of West Virginia. She has degrees in both education and nursing. 

"Jack of Hearts" is Chris' first novel. She will be at the library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and read an excerpt of her book at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited.
