Many local readers have already shown their support for the annual AAUW-Altrusa book sale, held at the lower level of the Highland County Administration Building at 114 Governor Foraker Place in Hillsboro.

Volunteer Sue Ludwick Smith said that a crowd was lined up in the hallway when the sale opened at noon Thursday.

A variety of fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, gardening, western, children's, religious, sports and other books are available.

The book sale will be held until 6 p.m. Thursday. It will continue Friday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Money raised from the sale provides scholarships for women who are returning to school and supports literacy projects for Highland County residents.

Stock up now for winter reading and Christmas giving with outstanding prices and a wide selection of books.
