AmVets Post 61 contributes to Shop With a Cop, other area projects

AmVets Post 61 recently donated $2,000 to the Highland County Peace Officers Association’s Shop With a Cop project. 

In addition, the Post donated $500 to Chillicothe Veterans Services for patients’ activities; $545 to Georgetown Veterans Home for veterans’ Christmas presents; $300 to Highland County Veterans Commission for Christmas stockings for veterans in nursing homes; and $100 for veterans’ children’s stockings. 

These recent donations brings the Post’s second-half year charitable total to $23,526.

AmVets Post 61 members include veterans, sons of veterans and wives and daughters of veterans.
