Ag-N-Stuff 4-H Club holds second meeting

The second meeting of the Ag-N-Stuff 4-H Club was called to order by President Logan Stephen on April 17, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mowrystown fire house.

Summer Brown led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and Dalayna Collins led the club in the 4-H pledge.

Secretary Summer Brown called the roll of members and there were 11 members present.

Treasurer Riley Collins gave the accounting of the club, collected dues money and sucker money. News Reporter Dalayna Collins showed the club her scrapbook and her most recent articles.

• In New Business, Advisor Anneka Collins passed out project books; a demonstration calendar was arranged; the Club Constitution and By-Laws were approved; and members were reminded of the Officer, Advisor, and Member Training at the Hillsboro High School on April 18, 2016.

• In Old Business, camping was discussed; members were reminded to turn in their sucker money; and members were reminded of the Mowrystown Park cleanup to take place on April 30, 2016 at 9 a.m.

Recreation Officer Raylee Barnett led the club in a game of whiffle ball.

Refreshments were served by members Kenzie Stephen and Logan Stephen. The next meeting will be on May 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Mowrystown Park

On April 18, 2016 members of the Ag-N-Stuff 4-H Club attended the Officer, Advisor, and Member Training at Hillsboro High School. Officers were trained in the most efficient and successful way to perform their office. Advisors were given updates on the Highland County Fair.

Advisors and Members were given information regarding drugs in the community by Sergeant Detective Randy Sanders of the Highland County Sheriff’s Office.
