4 Them We Fight hosting rally for teens Sept. 14
4 Them We Fight will host A Rally of Hope: A Rally Just for Teens Sept. 14 from 1-7 p.m. at Restoration Acres, 5845 state Route 124, Hillsboro.
4 Them We Fight is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to support communities and families affected by fentanyl poisoning and illicit drug overdoses. The group is dedicated to driving awareness, education and prevention surrounding fentanyl poisoning and illicit drug overdoses, addiction, recovery and mental health.
Guest speakers will include Beverly Aikins from “Hillbilly Elegy;” Tyler and Sierra, both of whom are in recovery; Amber, founder of Adam’s Hope, who lost her brother Adam to addiction; Jessica, who will have 10 years of sobriety in February; Bambi, who will have six years of sobriety in September; Isaiah, who lost his father and whose mother has been sober over nine years; Riley, whose father is in active addiction; Emma, who lost her mother and whose father is in active addiction; Daniel from “60 Days In," an MMA champion in recovery; and Diane, founder of Apald, whose son died from fentanyl.
The event will include music performances by Tony Renner and Kris Toney. There will also be food trucks, resources, live music, an open mic and more to be added.
