3 Mowrystown FFA members serving as Highland County species ambassadors

With the 2019 Highland County Fair a few weeks away, many young individuals have been chosen to represent their animal species not only throughout the week, but through the year. Three young women who will be representing Mowrystown FFA have earned this responsibility.
Chandra Hill was crowned the 2019 Highland County Fair Lamb and Wool Queen. She is a sophomore at Whiteoak High School, where she plays varsity softball, is a member of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Mowrystown FFA . Hill is also currently serving as the 2019 Mowrystown FFA Reporter. This will be her seventh year exhibiting market lambs at the Highland County Fair.

The 2019 Highland County Beef Queen is Allison Kiley. She is a junior at Whiteoak High School, where she plays varsity volleyball, is a member of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Mowrystown FFA. This will be Kiley’s eighth year exhibiting beef cattle at the Highland County Fair.
Mckenzie Satterfield was crowned the 2019 Highland County Fair Pork Queen. She is a 2019 graduate of Whiteoak High School. Throughout high school, Satterfield represented her chapter at national and state conventions, attended chapter meetings and participated in Career Development Events. She also served as the 2018 Mowrystown FFA Reporter. This will be Satterfield’s final year exhibiting pigs at the Highland County Fair.
Serving in these youth positions makes these young women ambassadors for their species. This means becoming a role model for those around them. Not only will they be advocating for Mowrystown FFA and their animal species, but they will ultimately be advocating for agriculture.
