At the 2022 4-H Awards Ceremony the 2022 Friends of 4-H Award winners were announced.
Where do we begin to honor these two recipients? They gave countless hours to the 4-H program and many different ways. They both are no longer with us and are dearly missed.
The first recipient was a 4-H Advisor for 13 years. He loved being a 4-H advisor and helping the youth in Swine Time 4-H Club. Anthony always made us laugh when he would come in the office. He left his legacy by passing his love for the 4-H program to his daughters. Following in his footsteps, Ashley is a current 4-H advisor for Swine Time. He loved and enjoyed being a husband and dad of two girls.
It is with pride we honor Anthony Taylor as a Friend of 4-H. Accepting on behalf of Anthony Taylor is his wife, Deanna Taylor, and daughters, Ashley Beatty and Emily Taylor.
• The second recipient was a 4-H Advisor for six years. She loved volunteering with 4-H and being an advisor with the Lynchburg Guys and Gals 4-H Club. She shared that love of 4-H with her husband and now her daughter, Jenny, is carrying on her legacy of being a 4-H volunteer. She dearly loved bringing her family into the office to ask lots of questions about the 4-H program. If they weren’t with her, she would talk about her family and the love she had for her four daughters and husband.
It with pride we honor Staci Knope as a Friend of 4-H. Accepting on behalf of Staci Knope is her husband, Andy Knope, and their daughters, Catherine, Jenny, JoAnna and Megan.
