2017 Highland County Fair Fine Arts awards announced

At the 2017 Highland County Fair, the Fine Arts Department showed hundreds of artworks in five divisions: three age groups of students from kindergarten to high school and two levels of adults, amateur and professional. Blue ribbons were awarded to many artists.

The Fine Arts Awards at the 2017 Highland County Fair are:

• People's Choice: Melissa Bourne.

• Best of Show Overall: Mary Jo Copeland.

• Best of Show Adult: Peter Klein.

• Reserve Best of Show Adult: Kimberlee Giordano.

• Best of Show Student: Cora Grooms.

• Reserve Best of Show Student: Noel Brooks.

• Best Use of Color (K-8th grade): Kate Alexander.

• Best Drawing (9th grade - adult): Brianna Purvis.
