Towne Festival Queen
As my year as queen has quickly come to an unwanted end, I am more than thankful to have been granted the opportunity to travel the state of Ohio. While traveling the state, I was able to promote our very own festival – while meeting new people, seeing new places and trying new things.
Through the past year, I have traveled 1,945 miles, visited 12 counties and attended 20 events. Alongside my attendance at various festivals and parades, I participated in several community activities. Volunteering at the auction at the Buckskin Harvest Festival, serving at the Rotary spaghetti chili dinners, Christmas caroling at local nursing homes and also crowning the Greenfield PTO Carnival royalty.
During the year, I was supported greatly by the community, and I would like to thank all who were so generous.
Andrew and Wes Surrit with Wooden It Be Nice, for donating a spare tire to ensure safe travels, as well as donating raffle prizes for Sunday's luncheon. Dave and Shawna Ross at Ross Tire for volunteering to drive me through my last parade on Sunday and also donating raffle prizes. Robbins Village Florist for the beautiful flowers and Robert Arthurs at Small Town Fitness for letting me use their window to showcase my past year. Amanda Adams and Spring Colburn for kindly giving raffle prizes along with WW Dry Cleaners, Subway, McDonald's, Merchants National Bank, Southern Hills Community Bank, Buck's Tire, Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, Greenfield Community Market, Steve Carroll, Connie Page and Greenfield Products.
Another thank you for everyone who was kind enough to let me borrow beautiful dresses to wear to festivals. Lastly, a very special thank you to my uncle and aunt at Jett's Pro Embroidery for car magnets, the banner on the float and the circle.
With the support from the community as well as my family, I was able to travel, meeting girls from as far as Ashtabula County and building friendships and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Lastly, a thank you that will never be enough to my family. Over the past year, we have spent countless weekends together, traveling and growing closer and closer each mile, and I couldn't have imagined it any other way.
