SHAC boys golf tournament continues with North Adams leading after 2 days

The Southern Hills Athletic Conference boys golf tournament resumed Thursday, Sept. 14 at Buckeye Hills, with North Adams maintaining their place in the top spot.
NAHS won the second day of the tournament with a 171, as their two-day total (out of four events) thus far is a 336. The event medalist was Clay Phillips of Ripley, who shot a 40 and is second place overall in the individual standings. (North Adams’ Breestin Schweickart, the event medalist from Day 1, is first with a 79.)
Manchester (175) was second on Day 2 and is fourth overall in the team standings (361). West Union, who was third (175) on Day 2, is second overall after two days (352).
Eastern was fourth (180) at Buckeye Hills and is currently third overall (357).
Next are the three Highland County teams, with Lynchburg-Clay shooting a 187 at Buckeye Hills and standing in fifth place for the day and overall (372). Fairfield was sixth (190) on Day 2 and overall (399), and Whiteoak was seventh (203) for the tournament and overall (411).
Other scores included Peebles in eighth (220, 429) and Ripley in ninth (238, 470).
For individual Highland County golfers, Saxen Wilkin again led LCHS and the county with a 42 score at Buckeye Hills, as he is currently third place overall in the SHAC (82). Teammate Braedon West followed with a 44, good for 13th overall thus far (89).
LC’s Cody Bell (50 on Day 2, 102) overall, Austin Bell (51, 102) and Cole Wells (53, 102) all sit tied for 29th place.
Blaine Fauber led the Fairfield Lions with a 45, as he is 26th place overall. Fairfield’s Otis Cockerill and Brody Fauber both shot a 48 on Day 2. In the overall standings, Fauber is 18th (92) and Cockerill is 32nd (103). Hayden Crusie followed closely with a 49 score, as he is 33rd overall (104). Rounding out the individual scores for FHS was Titon Crowder (55, 110), who is 36th thus far.
Whiteoak’s two low scorers were Eli Roberts and Isaiah Rowe, both of whom scored a 49 at Buckeye Hills. They both share the same two-day total of 101 and are tied for 26th place overall. Kaden Moon-Stone, who shot a 51 on Day 2, is 24th overall with a 97 score. Caden Butler (60, 118) is 39th.
Also for Whiteoak, Zander Roades shot a 54 at Buckeye Hills, as he did not compete on Day 1.
Day 3 of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 19 at Hilltop Golf Course.
