Rodney B. Bayless

Rodney B. Bayless, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023.

He was born Oct. 14, 1954 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Charles “Sonny” and Virginia (Colston) Bayless.

Rodney was a truck driver for Beacon Transportation of Nashville, TN.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Cindy (Helterbrand) Bayless; sons, James (Jennifer) Helterbrand of Hillsboro, Joshua Helterbrand of Hillsboro and Michael “Mike” (Narrissa) Marcum of Harrison; daughters, Angie Mills of Crystal River, Fla., Anita (Mike) Bolin of Sardinia, Kitty Marsden of Hillsboro and Toni Floyd of Ormond Beach, Fla.; brothers, Kenny Bayless of Goshen, Charles “Eddie” (Judy) Bayless of Goshen, James Bayless of Georgetown and Albert Bayless of Goshen; sister, Tonia Lynch of New Richmond; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Helen Helterbrand; grandson, Caleb Helterbrand; and sisters-in-law, Wanda Heaton and Jenny Bayless.

Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 7, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Helterbrand Family Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the Thompson Funeral Home.
