Reds announce plans for 2023 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend
The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore has an exciting weekend planned for July 14-16 to celebrate the Reds Hall of Fame Induction Class of 2023: Bronson Arroyo, Danny Graves and Gabe Paul.
Reds Hall of Fame Induction Weekend presented by PNC Bank features a series of events honoring these Reds greats. More than 20 Reds Hall of Famers and alumni are scheduled to join the festivities throughout the weekend at Great American Ball Park and the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum during the Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers series.
Fans can attend meet and greets with the new inductees and returning Hall of Famers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Museum.
Pregame on-field ceremonies on Saturday are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. to officially induct Bronson Arroyo, Danny Graves and Gabe Paul into the Reds Hall of Fame.
• Bronson Arroyo: A key contributor to three Reds postseason teams including two division winners, Arroyo was an All-Star in 2006 and won a Gold Glove Award in 2010. Only five pitchers in franchise history recorded more career strikeouts than Arroyo.
• Danny Graves: The only Vietnamese-born player in MLB history, Graves holds the Reds’ all-time saves record with 182. Graves was a two-time All-Star and won the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, Ernie Lombardi and Johnny Vander Meer Awards, and was a key contributor to the 1999 Reds team that finished tied for an NL Wild Card berth.
• Gabe Paul: A longtime Reds executive, Paul served as GM from 1951 to 1960 and was instrumental in strengthening and diversifying the Reds’ talent pool through key acquisitions of both African American and Latino players. He acquired the majority of players on the 1961 NL pennant-winning team and also future Reds Hall of Famers Pete Rose and Tony Perez. Paul died in 1998 at the age of 88.
The culmination of the weekend is the Hall of Fame Induction Gala presented by Clark Schaefer Hackett on Sunday evening at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati featuring the current 2023 Reds team along with over 20 Hall of Famers and alumni honoring the inductees. A limited number of Gala tickets are available at reds.com/Induction.
