I miss Hal McCoy

For what my two cents are worth, Hall of Fame sportswriter Hal McCoy, who is retiring from his long and illustrious career as a baseball beat writer, will be missed like few others.

Hal's game stories and sports columns are, for baseball fans, like grand slam home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning in Game 7 of the World Series.

Hal, you have no idea how much you will be missed. All the best in retirement, and please get to work on your autobiography. Your many, many fans can't wait.
