A visit to the Moon Dollar Café

It has been several years since I reported about the Moon Dollar Café. I am pleased to report they have improved their service.
On Christmas morning, at about 10 a.m., Laura asked me if I wanted to go to the Moon Dollar for a special hot chocolate.
My response was, “If they are open today, let’s go.”
She told me they were and, even better, she has an app on her phone now where she can order ahead and drinks will be ready when we get there.
Being a very warm Christmas Day here in Georgia, there were many people sitting outside, so there were plenty of seats and tables inside. I sat down, and Laura walked over to the serving area to get our drinks.
I started people watching while Laura attempted to have a conversation with me about when our kids are going to show up (Saturday, not today, they are with other relatives).
One elderly Asian couple were of particular interest to me (you may be interested in knowing Duluth is about 1/3 Asian now, and they are great neighbors).
Anyway, the woman was sitting at a couch, watching her phone. Her (presumed) husband was at a table, vigorously cleaning its surface.
When their drinks were ready, the husband got the drinks, took them to the wife on the couch and sat down beside her. They never spoke.
Then in a couple of minutes, she got up and went over to the table he had been cleaning. He remained on the couch.
Interesting behavior.
In the meantime, Laura is getting frustrated because I am not giving her the attention she deserves.
