I have a few questions

It seems every week since this past June has brought new, surprising revelations in the presidential race. Now we have the apparent second assassination attempt of President Donald Trump.

The Left says President Trump is a threat to democracy and dangerous.

Precisely what in his past behavior or present rhetoric makes him a threat to democracy?

To whom is President Trump dangerous?

To both questions, give me specific answers.

President Trump has been compared to vile despots from the first half of the 20th century. Lay out for me, side by side, the actions of these despots and the corresponding actions or threats from President Trump. I fail to see – even in an exaggerated manner – such a comparison.

To the interested observer (me), it seems as though several actions have been taken by President Trump’s enemies against him.

There have been numerous legal actions taken against him that seem to have been a coordinated attack and frivolous in nature. Cumulatively, these have graduated from just conspiracy theory promulgated by President Trump to conspiracy fact Trumps’ enemies when fully developed and exposed. These accusations against President Trump, when turned around, obviously apply to his opponent’s team.

We are living in George Orwell’s “1984.”

As for the assassination attempts, thus far, there may not have been a proven conspiracy, but we don’t know yet. A Rasmussen poll taken since the second one found that a quarter of Democrats think the country would be better off if Trump’s assassins had been successful. This is a stunning revelation of the power of propaganda on the part of the Left.

I do observe that no one seems to be attempting to assassinate President Trump’s opponent. If President Trump is the dangerous one, it seems as though he would be the one with operatives out trying to “eliminate” (a word some on the Left have expressed as their wishes for President Trump) his opponent.

In fact, let’s think about this for a minute. If the Left could prove by even the slightest hint that President Trump was thinking in an untoward way directed at his opponent, he would already be charged with a crime and before a court. They have already dragged him into court on trumped up charges lesser than this.

So who are the bullies here?

What we are seeing is mentally lightweight bullies on the Left attacking competence on the Right, simply because they have no other answers.

It is like when I was in seventh grade. I was unfortunately seated in front of the biggest bully in my class. We had those old-fashioned desks of wood and cast iron where the desk behind you had your seat attached to it. I can say this person was not only a bully, but about as bright as a sack of hammers (it’s OK, I understand he has long since passed away in the Ohio prison system).

I never intentionally bothered him, but he thought that about once a week he needed to put a wad of chewing gum on my seat. Easy to do with these old-fashioned desks. I was forever cleaning chewing gum off my pants. Now, these memories seem like a tiny, simple parallel to the assassination attempts on Trump.

In President Trump’s case, the sack-of-hammers comparison seems quite appropriate. And a similar reaction is happening, except these are adults playing adult games and it if doesn’t stop, I fear someone will lose their life – and we may lose our country.
