Ohio State men’s basketball celebrates 125 years this season

This year is the 125th year of Ohio State men’s basketball, and the program will celebrate its milestones and former players throughout the season.

The team will wear a commemorative patch on its uniforms and the program will honor different eras at various games throughout the year. A commemorative bobblehead set will also be given away over the course of the season. More details on the complete promotional schedule will be announced soon.

The program's first season was in 1898-99 and the Buckeyes have officially won 1,766 games over the last 124 seasons.

Ohio State has 30 NCAA Tournament appearances, which includes 10 Final Fours and a 1961 NCAA Championship. The program's first of 20 Big Ten titles came in 1925 and Ohio State has won four Big Ten Tournaments.

The season begins on Monday, Nov. 6 against Oakland. Season tickets as well as single-game and mini plans are on sale now.
