Zelma 'Faye' M. Wagner
Zelma “Faye” M. Wagner, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully March 12, 2024 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born June 27, 1932 in London, Ky., the daughter of the late Delbert Johnson and Betsy (Napier) Sandlin.
She was married to the late Jesse Wagner for 62 years. Faye’s biggest hobby was her flowers. She loved just being outside tending to her flowers. She deeply loved all her family.
She is survived by her son, Stanley E. (Sandra) Wagner of Mt. Orab; grandchildren, Stanley Wagner Jr. of Hillsboro, Brenda (Michael) Brown of Hillsboro, Larry Keith (April) McGuire of Hillsboro, Kenneth (Shawna) McGuire of Lynchburg and Jesse McGuire of Lynchburg; great-grandchildren, Rachel Riggan, Crystal Zimmerman, Ashley McGuire, Wyatt Wagner, Cheyenne McGuire, Jessica Zimmerman, Abby McGuire, Breann McGuire, Ashley Brown and Michael Brown; great-great-grandchildren, Lainee Wagner, Lynx Wagner, Summer Riggan, Novalee Brown, Michael A. Brown, Brayden Brown; and siblings; Marie Wilson, John Sandlin and CH Sandlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Alexander and Mandy (Hammons) Johnson and Franklin and Martha (Roark) Napier; daughter, Diana Mitchell; siblings, Ore Mae Folenius, Edward Sandlin, Troy Sandlin, Hazel Smith, Eileen King, Lorene Sandlin and Donald Johnson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Barker Cemetery.
