Zachary Andrew Paul Toney-Marcum

Zachary Andrew Paul Toney-Marcum, 33, of Wilmington, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Monday, March 20, 2023 at home.  
 
He was born April 3, 1989 in Huntington, W.Va., the son of Brian and Lorie L. (Toney) Messinger.

Zachary worked as a LPN for Maxim Health Care as a traveling nurse.

In addition to his parents, other surviving family members are his two sons, Ian Toney-Marcum and Korbin Major, both of Wilmington; three daughters, Kaihana Birchfield of Huntington, W.Va., Kadence Cabell of Hurricane, W.Va. and Sabella Major of Wilmington; two sisters, Brianna (Justice) Smith of Huntington and Kelly Messinger of Huntington; niece, Emma Watts; nephew, Benjamin Watts; girlfriend, Tiera Robinson; and maternal grandfather, Lawrence (Lillian) Adams of Cattlesburg, W.Va.
 
Zachary was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Wanda Ellen Toney.
 
Services will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington.
