Wilma Jean (Chrisman) Ludwick
Wilma Jean (Chrisman) Ludwick, 94, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 at her home.
She was born Oct. 4, 1929 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late John Chrisman and Emma (Wright) Chrisman.
Wilma was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ for many years. She started her working career in the courtroom with Judge Davis until her two children were born. She loved her children dearly and stayed home to raise them during their childhood.
After raising her children, she went to work with her husband, Norman, at Sherwood Auto and Camper Sales until she retired at the age of 78. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, traveling the world and all her dogs, but most of all, she loved her family.
Wilma is survived by her two children, Ronnie (Barbara) Ludwick of Hillsboro and Teresa Ludwick of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Ryan Ludwick and Brandon Ludwick, both of Hillsboro; a nephew, Bill Chrisman; a niece, Carolyn Chrisman Ramey; and two great nieces, Britney and Kim.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Ludwick, on April 26, 2022; a grandson, Taylor Wayne Ludwick; and two brothers, George Chrisman and Albert Chrisman.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will take place following visitation Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow services in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
