William Richard Walters

William Richard Walters, 79, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Legacy Nursing Home of Hillsboro. 
 
He was born Aug. 22, 1943 in Dayton, the son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Krutzjans) Walters.
 
William was a veteran of the Army National Guard for six years. He loved to fish and watch sports, especially the University of Dayton. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
 
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Monica and James Clark; three grandchildren, Amanda Reese, Maddy Clark and Noah Clark; three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Jackson and Liam; four siblings, Kenny, Jerry, Joe and Mary; and many nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Walters.
 
William's wishes were to be cremated and no services to be held.
 
Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro is serving the family.
