William L. “Bill” Huffman

William L. “Bill” Huffman, 93, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at Heartland of Hillsboro. 

He was born March 31, 1930, in New Vienna, the son of the late Vaughn E. and Audrey Curtis Huffman. 

Bill was a self-employed carpenter and was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. 

He is survived by his wife, Gretchen Fullerton Huffman, whom he had married on March 14, 1951; one son, Scott (Letitia) Huffman of Metuchen, N.J.; four grandchildren, Matthew Huffman, Nicholas  Huffman, Megan Huffman and Molly (Colt) West; five great- grandchildren, Jase Huffman, Bexley Reno, Kove Simon, Hendrix West and Leland West; and one sister, Penny Bower of New Vienna. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Huffman. 

Mr. Huffman had requested that at his death that his body be cremated, and no services be held. 

The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
