William J. Bather Jr., 64, of Mulberry, Ohio died Tuesday morning September 29, 2009 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery. 
He was born November 1, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of the late William J. Bather and Virginia Hawn Bather. 
He was a retired sales representative and a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. 
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Burg Bather, whom he had married on September 9, 1995 in Cincinnati, Ohio; four daughters, Christina Bather of California, Charlene Zeleznik of Pennsylvania, and Jamie Townsend and Sherri Beard, both of Fayetteville; four sons, William J. Bather III of Kansas, Phillip Bather of California, Glenn Griffith of Arizona, and Douglas Griffith of Goshen; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 
Graveside services with military honors presented by the U. S. Air Force Honor Guard will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 6th at the Dayton National Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
