William Dennis Adams

William Dennis Adams, 75, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.  
 
He was born Aug. 12, 1949 in Washington C.H., the son of John Burton and Betty Lou (Self) Adams.
 
Bill attended Miami Trace High School and voluntarily joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 years old. He reported to Fort Jackson, S.C. for basic training during the Vietnam War. PVT Adams was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.  
 
He is survived by his grandson, Michael Groves; granddaughter, Chelsey Haddox; and several great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lynnette Adams; two grandchildren, Matthew Groves, Jacqueline Groves; and both parents.
 
A graveside service will be held at a later date with Pastor John Caskey officiating and the McClain Cadet Corps performing the three-volley salute. William will be laid to rest in Veterans row at the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
