William "Bill" Beatty, 50, of Greenfield, died Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Greenfield Area Medical Center.
He was born March 28, 1959 in Greenfield, the son of the late James Calvin and Pauline (Shelly) Beatty.
He was employed at HIGHCO, Inc. in Hillsboro and was a graduate of Fayette Progressive school in Washington C.H. He was also a member of the Greenfield Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Tom (Debbie) Beatty of Greenfield and Mike Beatty of Angwin, Calif.; two sisters, Mary (David) Hines of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Joanne (Joe) Kresiak of Ft. Myers, Fla.; nieces and nephews, J.R. Beatty of Angwin, Calif., Patrick Beatty of Angwin, Calif., Becky (Gary) Maguire of Tacoma, Wash., Chris (Heather) Hines of Seattle, Wash., Andy (Kim) Beatty of Greenfield, Alanna (Tom) Eikenberry of Knoxville, Tenn., Stuart (Amy) Beatty of Hilliard, Cory Jenk of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dale Jenk of Franklin; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Kim Preston and family of Greenfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara and Patty.
Services will be held Thursday, October 1 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with Rev. Clint Tolbert officiating. A visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 30. Burial will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland County Special Olympics, or Hills and Dales Training Center at 8919 US 50, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
