Vicki Ann (nee Davidson) Harris

Vicki Ann (nee Davidson) Harris, 78, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sept. 17, 2024 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center at Adams County Regional Medical Center.

Vicki was born Oct. 2, 1945 in Maysville, Ky., the daughter of the late Paul A. and Mary Frances (Evans) Davidson. 

Vicki graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1963 and earned as associate degree from Miami-Jacobs College in Dayton.

Vicki worked at G.C. Murphy, Farmers & Traders Bank, Standard Register, Cincinnati Milacron, Hillsboro City Schools and Highland County Job and Family Services. She was also a former 4-H adviser, member of the Sweet Adalines, HHS Band Boosters, Parents without Partners, Jaycettes, Women's Eagles and most recently a proud member of the Highland Amateur Radio Association.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Larry Martin; children, Lori Newman, Jason (Michelle) Harris, Lora (Greg) Ferguson and Sabrina (Andy) Shoemaker; grandchildren, Amie (Dustin) Swayne, Alexa Harris, Joshua Harris, Brandi Harris, Alan Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Brandy Ball, Brittany "Lynn" (Dennis) Ross, Taylor (Chance Wrobel) Ball and Annlee Shoemaker; eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Katie (Clint) Wharton; a nephew, Paul (Sheri) Martin; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; a host of special friends; and a special kitty, Willie Joe

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Paulette Martin; a nephew, Bobby Jo Martin; husbands, Frankie Newman, Gary Lee Mercer and high school sweetheart, Gary Lee Harris.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at the Hillsboro Global Methodist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Hillsboro Global Methodist Church with burial to follow at Hamer Township Cemetery.
