Troy "Joe" Harris Rinehart
Troy (“Joe”) Harris Rinehart passed away Friday, April 25, 2014.
He was born Aug. 16, 1941 in Troy, North Carolina, the son of Henry Birl Rinehart and Molly Lee Mabry.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who dearly loved his family and friends.
Mr. Rinehart was a member of Samantha Free Will Baptist Church of Leesburg.
He was retired from a career in high-voltage construction. He thoroughly loved the outdoors, working in his garden, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a man of true character and a devout Christian.
He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Marlene Rinehart; his sons, Joseph (Sandra) Rinehart of Wilmington and Everett Scott Rinehart of Leesburg; his daughters, Dorothy Ann Deaton of Wilmington, Denise (Milo) Beers of Leslie, Michigan and Lisa (Mark) Matthews of Paris, Ky.; his brothers, Henry (Lois) Rinehart of Albemarle, N.C. and William (Pauline) Rinehardt of Badin, N.C.; his grandchildren, Joshua Joseph Rinehart, James Kyle (Casey) Rinehart, Jeffrey Lewis Deaton, Mitchell Troy Deaton, Garrett Scott Rinehart, Nicole Renee’ Tinsley, Elizabeth (Allen) Rolison, Billy Beers, Tabitha (Richie) Bradford and Taylor Shay Matthews; and his great-grandchildren, Fiona Marie Rinehart, Ashley Rose Rolison, Ada Lucille Bradford and Henry Cawood Bradford and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Marie Rinehart; his beloved grandson, Keenan Troy Rinehart; his sisters, Nancy Lee Talbert, Mary Burris, and his brother, Cecil Frazier Rinehart.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church. Close friend and Pastor Wiley Perkins will officiate the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.
