Tommy G. Phillips
Tommy G. Phillips, 78, passed away Jan. 15, 2025.
He was born June 4, 1946, in Moline, Ill., the son of G.W. and Lucille Phillips.
Tommy was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Patricia Phillips; and a proud father to his son, Jesse (Denise) Judge; daughter, Melissa Briggs; stepson, Corey Kidd; granddaughter, Nicole Fore; great-granddaughter, Brinley Rose Fore; special niece and nephew, Shane and Tori Clow and their children, Noah, Jolene, Finn and Teddy; great-niece, Connor Jo Yates; and special friend, Michelle Brill.
He cherished his family and cultivated lasting memories filled with laughter and joy. As a respected member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Tommy's love for horses was evident in his passion for trail riding, camping, and showing quarter horses. He thrived in the embrace of the great outdoors, especially at his beloved Mockingbird Hill Ranch, nestled in the heart of Shawnee National Forest. A true animal lover, Tommy raised both miniature and standard schnauzers, filling his home with their loyal companionship and spirited antics. His heart was as vast as the landscapes he explored, and he touched the lives of many with his kindness and zest for life.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, John Carter Phillips.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
