Thomas 'Tom' D. Archibald

Thomas “Tom” D. Archibald, 65, of Hillsboro, passed away July 1, 2024 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The son of Thomas F. and Susan Archibald, he was a lifelong resident of Highland County and a 1976 graduate of Hillsboro High School.

He spent his life working in the automotive service industry, and he had a passion for classic cars and trucks, gardening and taking care of his animals. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandkids.

Tom volunteered with the Hillsboro Fire Department for over 20 years and was greatly involved in the Highland County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and the Local Emergency Planning Committee. As an active member of the Highland County Amateur Radio Association, he served as the main contact with the Highland County EMA.

Tom was deeply faithful, attending Hillsboro Church of Christ for many years, and was an active member of Living Springs Community Church in Mowrystown.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa; two daughters, Emily (Marino) Pellegrini and Rachael (Jack) Wulker; two grandsons, Finley and Denver Wulker; brother, Matthew (Donna) Archibald, and sister, Kelley (Greg) Van Zant; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and infant sister.

A celebration of life will be held July 20, 2024 at Hillsboro Church of Christ,with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon and a service to follow.
