Thomas E. Bristow Sr.
Thomas E. Bristow Sr., 68, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born July 21, 1955 in Chrisman, Ill., a son of the late David and Lucille Crawford Bristow.
At the age of 17, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Persian Gulf War. After 20 years of service, Thomas retired as a First Sergeant. He went on to work and retire from the City of Circleville Water Department. He also served as Second Vice, First Vice and Post Commander for the American Legion Post 62, and he was also a member of AMVETS and VFW.
On May 20, 2007, he married the former Sharon Hulett, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Tina (Joe) Clark of Marshall, Ill., Tiffany Bristow of Marshall, Ill., Ashley (Phil) Rutherford of Chillicothe and Thomas (Natasha) Bristow Jr. of Circleville; stepchildren, Cameo (James) Stoops of Chillicothe and Christopher (Angie) Alflen of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Eva Gresham; two brothers, Kenneth Bristow and Louis Bristow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Louise and Deanie; and two brothers, William and Charles.
A funeral service for Thomas will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Phil Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Family and friends can visit with Thomas’ family on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
