Terry L. Smith
Terry L. Smith, 67, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully July 8, 2024 at his home.
He was born Oct. 18, 1956 in Wilmington.
Terry was most commonly known as “Hollywood” and was a true legend. Hollywood was a hard-working trucker. He worked until his retirement for Jim Mootz Trucking and then later for Stroud Farms. Hollywood enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and farming. One of the highlights of his week was his Sunday morning ritual, where he and his buddies would get together on his front porch and smoke, drink coffee and have a good time talking.
Hollywood is survived by his daughters, Natasha (Tommy) Dezarn of Sardinia and Michelle (Craig) Clark of Georgetown; grandchildren, Bella Burns, Anikyn Burns, Maverick Burns, Seth Igo, Saige Igo and Shelby Igo; mother, Nedra Reynolds Smith of Alabama; siblings, Mike (Robbie) Smith of Alabama, Mark Smith of Michigan and Twilla (John) Nave and Bobby (Susan) Roades, both of Highland County; and many awesome friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John David Smith; and a brother, David Smith.
In keeping with his wishes, Hollywood will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time. Davis-Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
