Steven Douglas Crabtree

Steven Douglas Crabtree, 71, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 at home.
 
He was born March 1, 1952, in Washington C.H., the son of Frank and Margaret (Huff) Crabtree.
 
He was a 1970 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan and antique collector.
 
Steve retired from Boilermakers Local 105, where he was a welder for 30-plus years.
 
He is survived by one daughter, Shanon (Aaron) Brunner of Greenfield; one son, Steven Douglas (Kristi) Crabtree II of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Shaena, Ethan, Logan, Kaylen, Gaige, Gavin, Preslie and Paytin; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Debbie (Randy) Robinson of Hillsboro, Rhonda (Rob) Scharf of Hillsboro and Sandy (Jeff) Milstead of Hillsboro; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and mother, Margaret Crabtree of Hillsboro.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Crabtree.
 
Funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow at the Stringtown Cemetery near Hillsboro.
 
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
