Steven D. Carpenter

Steven D. Carpenter, 58, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Highland District Hospital of Hillsboro.  
 
He was born Nov. 6, 1965 in Hamilton County, the son of Donald and Wanda (Grimes) Carpenter.
 
He was a 1984 graduate of Goshen High School and a former employee of Airborne/ABX in Wilmington, where he was a package handler.
 
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball and spending time with family.
 
He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Nicole Carpenter; granddaughter, Coraline Copas; grandson, Jacob Copas; father, Donald Carpenter; sister, Becky Carpenter; niece, Katrina Giancola; and nephew, Erick “Doug” Carpenter.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Latchford.
 
Cremation will take place, and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
