Stephen L. Speakman, 56, of Bainbridge, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at his residence. He was born Aug. 16, 1953, the son of Willard Lester Speakman and Florabelle (Binegar) Hutchins. He was a carpenter and worked for the Knauff Brothers of Bainbridge. He attended the Good Shepherd Church of Greenfield. He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Watson) Speakman of Bainbridge; one son, Stephen Wayne (Karla) Speakman of Greenfield; one daughter, Mandy (Barry) Jones of South Salem; his mother, Florabelle Hutchins of Ft. Myers, Fla.; his father, Willard Speakman of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Courtney Speakman, Whitney Speakman, Kyle Speakman, Nate Mess, Emily Jones, and Wyatt Jones; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Good Shepherd Church in Greenfield with Pastor Jim Blaine officiating. A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 4 at the Good Shepherd Church. Burial was held at the Greenfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington C.H, Ohio 43160 or to the Good Shepherd Church, 12920 SR 26 W, Greenfield, Ohio, 45123. The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.[[In-content Ad]]
