Sheryl Dennis, 65, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024 at her home. 
 
She was born Jan. 28, 1959 in Jackson, the daughter of the late Roy Stone and Joanne (Grover) Stone.
 
She was an exemplary mother, friend and human being. Sheryl embodied kindness and generosity and prided herself on her independence by working until the day her health no longer allowed. She enjoyed the simplicity of life and was loved by everyone who knew her.
 
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Damien and Tammy Dennis; grandson, Jesse Hart; granddaughter, Shyla Hart; two great-grandchildren; aunt and uncle, Carol and Richard Phipps; and many wonderful friends whom she held dear to her heart.
 
Per Sheryl's request, no service will be held. Her family will hold a celebration of life in remembrance of her kind soul.
 
Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro has been entrusted with the arrangements.
 
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to a charity in Sheryl's name.
