Sherryl Howell

Sherryl Howell, 69, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center inside Adams County Hospital in Seaman.  

She was born Oct. 13, 1956 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Richard D. and Patti Ann (Shaffer) Harvey.  

Sheryll was an STNA and had worked at Heartland of Hillsboro for many years.

On Oct. 21, 2000 in Peebles, she married her husband, Donald Howell, who survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Katie Burchett of Hillsboro; and two siblings, Michelle Corso of Florida and Christopher (Margie) Harvey of Michigan.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard D. Harvey; her mother, Patti Ann Shaffer; her stepfather, Richard “Dick” Shaffer; and a brother, Charles Harvey.  

In keeping with her wishes, graveside funeral services at the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
