Shelly Phillip Johnson, 85, of Hillsboro and formerly of Mt. Orab, passed away Monday. Sept. 30, 2024 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

Shelly was born May 25, 1939 in London, Ky., the youngest of 12 children born to the late O.R. and Nora (Clark) Johnson.

He was retired from General Motors in Dayton. Shelly enjoyed life and loved the Lord. He was a very faithful believer and enjoyed being a member and attending church at the Bible Believers Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean F. (Traylor) Johnson, whom he married April 2, 1977; one daughter, Gladys Diane Frazier and husband Marty of Manchester, Ky.; two grandchildren, William Travis Johnson of London, Ky. and Cassidy Frazier of Manchester, Ky.; one great-grandchild, Kale Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab. Pastor Steve Cowgill will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Buford Cemetery in Buford, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Believers Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 7011 Ervin Road, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
