Sheila Mary Thompson
Sheila Mary Thompson, 63, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born April 9, 1961, in Saginaw, Mich., the daughter of Sydney Sullivan and Shirley (Washburn) Hicks.
Sheila was a manager at Speedway in Hillsboro and a member of the Hillsboro Eagles Aerie 1161. She loved traveling to Tennessee, especially Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with her husband, Jack, and two boys, Liam and Jayse. She enjoyed her hanging baskets of flowers and going fishing, remembering to
always release the fish after she caught one. Sheila always lit up the room when she went dancing and to sing karaoke. She will be deeply missed.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Jack Thompson of Hillsboro; her mother, Shirley Hicks of Amelia; six children, Liam Shaw of Hillsboro, Jayse Shaw of Hillsboro, Scott Thompson of Florida, Danny Coley of Hillsboro, Cathy Shaw of Hillsboro and Anthony "TJ" Shaw of Hillsboro; five siblings, Sharon Craver of Batavia, Stan Sullivan of Winchester, Sue Bere of Batavia, Stewart (Cathy) Sullivan of Illinois and Sandra Sullivan of Amelia; two brothers-in-law, Doug Thompson of Hillsboro and Bill Thompson of Indiana;
two sisters-in-law, Janie Thompson of New Burlington, and Connie (Joe) Hochwalt of Xenia; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Shelia was preceded in death by her father, Sydney Sullivan; a son, Michael "Moochie" Sullivan; three siblings, Steven Sullivan, Cindy Clark and Scott Sullivan.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday July 11 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Celebration of Sheila¹s life will be held at 1 p.m. following visitation on July 11 at the funeral home.
