Sharon Marie Knisley

Sharon Marie Knisley, 71, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 8, 2023. 

She was born Jan. 30, 1952 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Paul Howard and Alta Jean McClure Truman. 

Sharon enjoyed doing crafts and quilting and her dogs. 

She is survived by her children, B.J. (Rachel) Knisley and Carrie Knisley; seven grandchildren, J.B. Knisley, Lakin Knisley, Alayna Kemmeter, Evan Kemmeter, Jayce Cumberland, Miami Coats and Alexzander Knisley; and a brother, Tom Thomas of Hillsboro. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Treyvon Cumberland; and brothers, Eugene and Donald Truman. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. in the Barnes Cemetery. 

The Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
