Scott Douglas Rhodes, 50, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024. 
 
He was born Aug. 13, 1974 in Troy, the son of Mark Douglas and Belma Sue (Cantrell) Rhodes.

On July 17, 2009, he married Martha (Pierce) Rhodes.
 
Scott was an avid hunter and loved his family dearly.
 
Surviving are his loving wife, Martha Rhodes; daughter, Alexis Tedford; parents, Mark and Belma Rhodes; daughter, Caitlin (Kaine) Leeth and their children, Weston, Raegan and Wyatt; daughter, Alisha (Donnie) Bowshier and their children, Sophia, Paislee and Myra; son, Brandon (Candice) Rhodes and their children, Liberty and Onyx; son, Ryan (Destiny) Rhodes; two sisters, Dana Rhodes and Nita (Jimmie) Hamilton, several nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Amanda Tedford, Jeff Tedford and Katie (Mike) Dalton; step-grandchildren, Jackson, Brooklyn and Keon Tedford; and mother-in-law, Mattie Pierce.
 
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St., Hillsboro, with Pastor Lloyd Shoemaker officiating.
 
Friends will be received Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
Contributions in Scott's memory may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
