Ruth Evelyn White, 96, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 23, 2024 at her home.
She was born Sept. 19, 1928 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Herman L. and Myrtle Fawley Emery.
Ruth took pride in being a homemaker for her family, keeping a meticulous house filled with love. She enjoyed working outside as well, mowing her grass and tending to her flower gardens. You could often find Ruth watching sporting events. She will be greatly missed by everyone, especially her grandchildren whom she loved so much.
Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, Tim (Dawn) White of Hillsboro and Angela (Denny) Creachbaum of Leesburg; great-grandchildren, Lane White, Cody Smith and Cindy Smith; great-great-grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Briggston Toops, Alice White and Kacen Conger; daughter-in-law, Deloris Arledge; cousin who was more like a brother, Don Wilkin; brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Pat White; longtime close friend, Brenda Deininger; and close friend and neighbor, Joy Sowders and her children, Benjamin, Christopher and Elizabeth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. White; daughter, Cindy White; and son, Michael Allen White.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30 at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Services will follow. Burial will be in Hamer Township Cemetery.

Iam saddened by the passing…
Iam saddened by the passing of my 2 nd mommy ! For years her daughter Cindy Jo and I were inseparable I spent days at her house and Ruthie was so much fun always spoiling us rotten! Making us treats! And in later years having Mike take us wherever we needed to go ! I wish I could have visited more but life sometimes doesn’t let us I’ll love and miss ! You Until we meet again!! Your boonie!
