Ruth Ann Caudill

Ruth Ann Caudill, 83, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. 

She was born the daughter of the late Grant Alexander Black and Genva (Plyman) Gilliam. 

Ruth loved her church, Sinking Spring Community Church. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts. Ruth also enjoyed family get-togethers and making lots of food. 

She is survived by her children, Pamela J. (Tom) Hickey, Judith L. (Wade Brock) Caudill and Susan E. (Rob Kipp) Caudill, all of Hillsboro, Jesscia E. Caudill of Greenfield and Deborah A. (William Stewart) Beer and Steven D Caudill, both of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Black of Franklin; and nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milford N. Caudill; son, Donald R. Caudill; son-in-law, Brad Beer; and brothers, William “Billy” and Dillard Black. 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Carmel Cemetery.

She was the sweetest and kindest person. My brother really picked a winner. She was my sister fo about 65 years. I miss her. We did not see each other often but I felt security in knowing she was near. . I cannot tell you all the sweet and good she was. She is with my brother again
