Ruth Ann Ashley

Ruth Ann Ashley, 79, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Washington Court House Manor.
 
She was born July 22, 1944 in Clinton County, the daughter of Everett and Sarah (Redkey) Carey.
 
She worked at Candle-lite for numerous years, was a foster care parent for Highland County and attended the Berrysville Holiness Church.
 
She is survived by one daughter, Jane Allen (Chuck Trefz) of Leesburg; two grandsons, Robbie (Erin) Mustard of Leesburg and Kyle Allen (Leanne Garretson) of Washington C.H.; one granddaughter, Sarah Crouch (Michael Drummond) of Greenfield; three great-granddaughters, Madelyn, Kaitlynn and Paisley; six great-grandsons, Jacob, Colton, Conner, Ryan, Peyton and Jayse; one sister, Bonnie Throckmorton of Leesburg; and one brother, Ernest (Rhonda) Carey of Hillsboro.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gearold F. Ashley, on May 27, 2007; two brothers, Jimmy Carey and Charles Carey; one sister, Carol Davis; and both parents.
 
Graveside service will be Thursday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
