Roger L. Coss

Roger L. Coss, 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

He was born May 26, 1940 in Troy, the son of the late Vernon F. and Grace (Brown) Coss.

Roger was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. After graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Roger followed family tradition in the construction trade and was a member of the local union in Dayton.

He is survived by two sons, Craig Coss and Mark Coss, both of Huber Heights; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon "Sonny" Coss and David Coss; and four sisters, Frances Winert, Betty Zonars, Virginia Matthews and Phyllis Dick.

A graveside service with military rites will be conducted Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
