Robert Wade Dement

Robert Wade Dement, 51, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati.

He was born Nov. 26, 1972, the son of Geraldene Johnson Dement of Hillsboro.

He is also survived by a son, Robert (Beronica) Dement II of Hillsboro; one daughter, Shaye-Lyn Dement of Hillsboro; stepson, Spencer (Sierra) Mick of Hillsboro; their mother, Erin Swift of Hillsboro; stepson, Kasey SM Wright of South Salem; stepdaughter, Serenity (Justin) McCarty of Grove City; their mother, Evelyn Dement Thomas of South Salem; brothers, James (Lisa) Dement Sr. of Chillicothe and Tim (Lora) Johnson of Leesburg; sister, Lori (Bill) Meredith of Hillsboro; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, John Miller and Larry “Jack” Dement; one brother, Henry Dement; and stepson, Arthur Ayler.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Evelyn Dement-Thomas of the Masterline Youth Ministries will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
