Richard Wesley 'Dick' Behm

Richard Wesley “Dick” Behm, 87, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 11, 2023 with family by his side.

Dick was born July 19, 1935 in Adams County, the son of the late Lewis W. and Lida (DeVore) Behm.

Dick is survived by his four children, Zelda (Steven) Karnes of Hillsboro, Vanessa Johnson of Leesburg, Val (Tracey) Behm of Washington C.H. and Janell (Jason) Allison of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren, Rebecca (Joe) Taylor of San Jose, Calif., Sara (Drew) Mathews of Ankara, Turkey, Kalie (Brad) Grigsby of San Rafael, Calif., Erica (Sean) Dumford of Washington CH, Colleen Kline of Chillicothe, Breanne Johnson of Washington CH, Taylor (Matt) Totin of Columbus, Jordan Behm of Cincinnati, Jase Allison of Greenfield, Jayden Allison of Greenfield and Janson Allison of Greenfield; 13 great-grandchildren, Luke, Elijah and Mira Mathews, Audrey, Amelia and Adelyn Taylor, Corbin and Carter Dumford, Ellis Renault, Isaac Johnson-Bunch and Landon, Levi and Elle Grigsby; sister, Janet (Bill) Butler of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Anna Masterson of Cincinnati; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen M. (Ross) Behm, on Aug. 11, 2015; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Effie Behm; sister, Sandra Lou Behm; and special friend, Mary June Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 5 p.m. at the Fall Creek Friends Church, 11345 Karnes Road, Hillsboro 45133.

Pastor H. Scott Latimer will officiate, with burial following in the Stringtown Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. at the Fall Creek Friends Church.
