Richard Lee Burgess, 64, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2024.
 
He was born April 26, 1959 in Greenfield, the son of Ervin and Wanda Lee (Wiley) Burgess.
 
He was a 1978 graduate of Fairfield High School and owner/operator of Burgess Millwright Services.
 
He is survived by three sons, Jonathan Lee (Holly) Burgess of Leesburg, Joseph A. Burgess (Melissa) of Greenfield and Clayton E. (Elizabeth) Burgess of Leesburg; five grandchildren, Layne, Logan, Parker, June and Larkyn; one brother, Howard Wayne (Kim) Burgess of Leesburg; and his mother, Wanda Burgess.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Burgess.
 
Memorial service will be Friday, March 1 at 4 p.m. at the Creekview Barn, 8821 Fall Creek Rd., Leesburg, with Pastor Kevin Stuckey officiating, followed by a visitation until 7 p.m.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Never forget the look on his face when I show up with his birthday present one day Kleenex box painted like Tony Stewart car with dents and halfway torn open with the words cry baby on the corner.
Never seen him laugh so hard.
Sorry for you loss he was a great man.
