Richard Glenn Tolle

Richard Glenn Tolle, 77, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 23, 2024 at his home with his family.  

He was born June 16, 1946 in Leesburg, the son of the late Cecil M. and Flossie Marie (Mowery) Tolle.  

Richard retired from the Fairfield Local School District as a custodian after 21 years of service. He operated his own dump truck business in Leesburg for many years as well.  

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jo Ellen (Henness) Tolle, whom he married Feb. 16, 1991 in Leesburg. He is also survived by three sons, Bret Tolle, William F. (Pari Cooper) Tolle and Richard Glenn II (Angie) Tolle, all of Leesburg; a stepson, Christopher (Sarah) Riley of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, William F. “Billy” Tolle II, Courtinee Murphee, Ben Wilson, Richard Glenn Tolle III, Dallas Tolle, Jacob Tolle and Savannah Tolle; two step-grandchildren, Hannah Riley and Abby Riley; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Karleigh, Daryan, Daylan and Rakyah, as well as additional great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Wanda Tolle of Leesburg; a special nephew, Ronald (Beverly) Tolle of Leesburg; and additional nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Doloris Cogan, Vera McDaniel, Garnett Miller, Francis Miller and Alma Cox; brothers, Ronald Tolle (Richard’s twin brother), Jimmie Tolle, Dean Tolle and infant brothers Sam, Robert and Blain Tolle; and a niece, Dona Tolle.  

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
