Richard Eugene Beckett

Richard Eugene Beckett, 72, of Circleville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Rick was born Nov. 12, 1951 in Maysville, Ky., the son of the late David (Norma) Beckett of Maysville, Ky. and Barbara O’Rourke (Harry) Bracken of Peebles.

Rick worked as a cable technician until his retirement.

He is survived by his children, J.R. (Amanda) Beckett of Huntingburg, Ind., Alicia (Mike) Schieser of Manchester and Tonya (Vincent Music) Jones of Greenfield; as well as his brothers, Randy Bracken, Ronnie (Lora) Bracken, Rodney (Diane) Bracken and Roger (Jessica) Bracken; and his sister, Renee (Richard) Knowlton. Rick will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, Jessica, Austin, Brittney, Brandon, Chaz, Meredith and Lauren; and his great-grandchildren, Liam, Lila, Asher, Paisley, Brielle, Declan and Dawson.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and John Bracken; and a great-grandchild, Malia June.

Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.

Funeral services will be held following visitation Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. Brad Huffman will officiate the service. The burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
