Richard E. Shockey

Richard E. Shockey, 75, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. 

Richard was born May 8, 1947 in Jefferson, Iowa, the son the late Donald E. and Clara Beth (Smith) Shockey. 

Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia G. (Hood) Shockey on May 14, 2021. 

Richard and Patricia were faithful to the Good News Gathering in Hillsboro. Richard served in the Utah National Guard and retired from the RR Donnelley Company in Greenfield. 

Richard is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald K. and Robin Shockey of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Irma and Glenn Hutchinson of Ligonier, Pa., Pamela and Harvey Griffin of Irving, Texas; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. 

According to Richard's wishes, he will be cremated. No services are scheduled. 

Richard's request was that memorials to the Good News Gathering, 6250 U.S. 62 south, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
