Regina Katy Jeffers

Regina Katy Jeffers, 81, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Hospice of Blue Ash. 

She was born Feb. 19, 1943 in Greenfield, a daughter of the late George V. and Rosemary Hartley Fenner. 

Regina was a 1961 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. She worked for the family newspaper, The Greenfield Times, and later worked at the Denver Post in Denver, Colo. She also worked at Weberg Furniture in Denver as a media buyer, the Advertising Checking Bureau in
Columbus and Memphis, Tenn.

Regina was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ. She was an EMT-Paramedic for the volunteer Greenfield Area Life Squad, an emergency room clerk at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver and had been a volunteer at the 8th Street Mission for Jesus Christ, a drug and alcohol recovery mission in West Memphis, Ark.

Regina was a granddaughter of Boyd and Hazel Fenner and E.F. and Maude Hartley, a stepdaughter of Alice Gray Hartley, a sister to Jayne and Joan Fenner and Robert H Fenner, a sister-in-law to Jo Fenner, and was the wife of John D. Jeffers, all who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Whitley of Greenfield; her great-grandson, Brycden Whitley; three brothers, James V. (Linda) Fenner of Greenfield, John F. Fenner of Las Vegas, Nev. and Fred (Natacha) Fenner of Texas; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Fenner of Las Vegas, Nev. and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, Regina will be cremated. Family and friends will gather for her graveside service at 1 p.m. Friday, March 15 in the Greenfield Cemetery. Danny Dodds will officiate. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her father, George.
